1. Cape Town to Langebaan
Distance: 120 km (about 1.5 – 2 hours)
Route: Take the N7 north from Cape Town, then turn onto the R27.
What to see/do:
Langebaan Lagoon: Perfect for a beach day or a walk along the shores. It’s popular for water sports like kite-surfing and kayaking.
West Coast National Park: Visit this park, especially if you’re there during spring for the wildflower season (August to September). The park is famous for its birds and coastal beauty.
2. Langebaan to Vredenburg
Distance: 30 km (about 20 – 30 minutes)
Route: Simply take the R27 from Langebaan to Vredenburg.

3. Vredenburg to Piketberg

Route: From Piketberg, continue on the N7 north towards Clanwilliam.
What to see/do:
Clanwilliam: Famous for its Cederberg Mountains, you can visit the Clanwilliam Dam and do some hiking or even rock climbing. The area is also known for its Rooibos tea, so you might want to visit a farm where you can learn about the production of Rooibos.
Cederberg: If you have time, do a detour into the Cederberg Wilderness Area for amazing landscapes, cave paintings, and some of the best hikes in the Western Cape.
5. Clanwilliam to Cape Town (Return)
Distance: 230 km (about 3 hours)
Route: Head back south on the N7 towards Cape Town.

If you’re in the mood to explore more of the coast on your return trip, you can detour through Ceres or Tulbagh for more beautiful rural scenery. Otherwise, take the direct route to Cape Town.
